Denise was selected as1986 Secretary of theYear. She held the offices of Vice President, Treasurer, and Treasurer-Elect for the Red River Chapter during her 10 years as a member. Denise also served as chairman of several committees, such as Ways and Means, Education, Secretaries Week, and Future Secretaries Association. She served on 10 different chapter committees through the years and several Division committees. The Denise Kosin Memorial Scholarship Fund is named in her honor.
She was a sought after speaker; with her many outside interests, her speaking engagements were always enlightening. Her interests were in interior design, fashion, travel, floral creation, and advertising. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and participated in slow pitch softball, racquetball, bowling and volleyball.
In 1976, Denise began her first job with Eide Helmeke, and then went on to work nine years at Hunter-Grobe Architects. In February 1985, Denise advanced her career by joining the firm of Selective Marketing and Sales.
Denise was an enthusiatic, optimistic, gregarious person and a willing volunteer in PSI activities. A tragic automobile accident took her life on January 28, 1986. She was a dear friend and valuable member of our organization.
